A few thunderstorms have developed over Visayas and Mindanao this afternoon. Some of these could bring damaging winds along with heavy rainfall for a short period of time. There are NO tornado warnings in effect (some of you have asked, PAGASA does not issue tornado warnings) but as always with thunderstorms in this area weak waterspouts moving on shore is a risk. I would worry more about gust fronts in some of the stronger cells. This weather should taper off through the evening hours. Just keep a keen eye on the sky if you do see a storm developing in your area.
