PIA-13: PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST issued at 5am 18July2014. Synopsis: Southwest monsoon affecting the western section of Luzon. Meanwhile, at 4:00 a.m. today, Tropical Storm "MATMO" outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) was estimated based on all available data at 1000 km East of Northern Mindanao with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph and gustiness of up to 80 kph. It is forecast to move north northwest slowly. Forecast: Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON and the provinces of Mindoro and Palawan will have occasional rains. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to southeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the southwest will prevail over the rest of the country with moderate to rough seas.
